Create a Variety of Casts

With every 1kg of alginate and 1kg plaster you can create up to:
>> 12 casts of a newborn hands/feet or;
>> 4-6 casts for a 2-3 year old or;
>> 2 casts of an individual adult hand or;
>> 1 cast of an adult hand and 6 casts of a newborn hands/feet or;
>> 1 cast of an adult hand and 2-3 casts of a 2-3 year old hands/feet or;
>> 6 casts of a newborn and 2-3 casts of a 2-3 year old or;
>> 1 family group* hand cast of up to 4 adults, or 2 adults and 3 children, or 3 adults and 2 children holding hands.

To make as many casts as possible, use containers that minimize waste, while allowing a 1 inch space all around the subject(s).

BabyRice Skin Safe Alginate is hypoallergenic and safe to use on skin from newborn onwards and fully complies with British Safety Standards. Alginate's main ingredient is kelp, a form of seaweed, so it’s completely safe to use on your skin! All BabyRice alginate is “dental grade”, meaning it can be used by dentists to make moulds in people's mouths. What’s more, our alginate conforms to British Safety Standards BS 4269 Pt.2:1991 and ISO 1563:1990.
